 A Report on the Malaysian Timber Certification SchemeBy MC Wong - 2004-03-12 | This report on the Malaysian Timber Certification Council is part of the global report on existing certification schemes initiated by FERN, the Europe-base NGO. The purpose of the report is to present information on all forest certification schemes in operation to NGOs, governments and other stakeholders. The MTCC report is one of 8 reports, the others being FSC, PEFC, SFI, CSA, CERFLOR and Certfor, which will be published in full on FERN's website. An A4 page summary of all full reports will be published separately in a report that will look at the wider limits and possibilities of certification as well as important criteria for forest certification schemes, in line with FERN's previous report "Behind the Logo".
